The South Dakota Simmental Association Board of Directors will award two $500 scholarships in 2025 to a 2026 graduating high school senior or post-secondary student. Applicants must have been raised on a ranch, registered or commercial, and have interest in Simmental Cattle. Applicants must write an essay to include: How Simmental Cattle have affected applicant’s life and how that will shape applicant’s life going forward. Applications are due to Ashley Werning on December 1, 2025. Questions should be directed to Ashley at ashley.werning@gmail.com
